Abdilatif is a highly skilled software engineer with 5 years of experience in developing and shaping the back-end and front-end of products. Abdilatif stabilized his professional journey since 2019 when he joined Omar Market place as frontend Engineer building robust and high-performance User interface for an ecommerce product.

He then joined JHELY Group in Spain in May 2020 as a Full Stack Engineer, where he developed front-end and back-end architecture, implemented E2E test automation, and worked on CI and supported production application.

In February 2021, Abdilatif joined Ajua™ in Nairobi, Kenya, where he was responsible for developing, maintaining, and adding new features to the existing company product. He produced detailed documentation/specifications and wrote program codes. Abdilatif was mainly responsible for supporting enterprises that include telecommunications, financial banks, and insurance on an on-premise model as well as SMEs on SaaS model. in 2022 when he joined Eclectics Intl as a Backend Engineer, where he worked with the Payment services team. Here He integrated to core banking services with payment, mobile, and internet banking applications. Additionally, we developed SMS and notification services for partners to facilitate bulk loan repayment alerts, automated remote file streaming, and statement delivery to customers. We also designed and implemented scalable, high-performance distributed architecture using microservices. Moreover, we integrated with third-party service providers in various industries, including telecommunications and PSP, to enhance our existing payment gateway. His tech stack for this role included Java, Spring Boot, Reactive Programming (Spring WebFlux), Spring Security, OAuth2, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Java EE, JBoss, MySQL, MS SQL, caching on Redis, Docker, and Linux VMs..

Abdilatif then joined Craft Silicon as a Senior Backend Engineer in August 2022, where he worked with the Alternate Banking Channels & Integrations team. He was responsible for developing high-performance APIs to support mobile applications and banking services and designing, implementing, and documenting APIs for external or internal service to consume. He integrated to mobile operators and financial banks across Africa, interfaced with banking applications, and integrated with mobile network operators’ mobile wallets such as M-Pesa, core banking, card payments processing, among others. He developed merchant-presented QR codes payments (MasterCard), developed micro-services to support billing & utility bill payments, and worked with the core banking team to achieve integrations for new alternate channels integrating with their core banking. He Actively took  part in design sessions and scaling initial applications to better transaction speeds. His tech stack for this role included C#, .NET framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET, SOAP & RESTful web services, ISO 8583(Financial call messages), Microsoft IIS, and MS SQL Server.

Currently, Abdilatif works a Service Integrations Engineer at Safaricom PLC (Telecommunication) with financial services tribe (MPESA) and is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining APIs for integration with various systems. His role also involves building new microservices, Integrations and supporting existing services His tech stack for this role included Java, Spring boot, Apache Camel, APIGE, AWS Cloud as our infrastructure.
